Diaz gives a amazing performance, unlike anything she has ever done. They didn't incorporate the books surprise ending but it was great regardless. Some think this movie should have been more politial, I think the focus was where is should be, the family.

Worst adaptation of a book to film. They took a stunning book and changed the characters and CHANGED THE ENDING. It shouldn't be allowed to carry the same name as Jodi Picoult's book. WASTE OF MONEY & TIME! Read the book instead.

THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE TO TAKE YOUR MIND OF OFF TRIVIAL PROBLEMS.
WE LOVED IT, ALL THREE GENERATIONS.

This movie could have been much stronger in addressing the moral issues involved. Instead, it plays like a "made for TV" movie. Abigail Breslin, Sofia Vassilieva and Joan Cusack give the strongest performances. Worth renting or watching on TV.
