Synopsis: Set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War, "War Horse" begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets-British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter-before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man's Land.

    Gorgeous to watch from start to finish. I loved the detail from the farmhouse in rural England to the scenes in the trenches. The newcomer was very believable as were those in the supporting roles. A great anti-war film.

    Heavy-handed music score from John Williams is obtrusive and annoying. Spielberg never met a lily he didn't want to gild and WH is case-in-point. What could have been elegant and impressive is self-indulgent of Spielberg and forgettable.

    Visually stunning, the story is a complete disaster. No believable protagonist and no antagonist at all, it is just a series of vignettes.

    Really a nice movie. I can feel some part of the film to be moving bit slow. Rest else the chemsitry between the horse and the boy are taken good. filmken has some good views
