Very disappointing. Laughably poor character development and dialogue. The android was the only interesting character. Shocked that my favorite reviewers Ebert and Travers gave this one such high marks.

Story was all over the place in rapid fire with no development. Viewer was left to try and figure out the story. Poor character development and script. Actions taken by characters didn't make sense. Not worth the hype.

HUGE disappointment!! This script should NEVER have been made. No character development, poor dialogue, predictable story that doesn't make sense with the other Alien films. Bottom line: not scary and lacking the visual atmosphere of Alien

The critics must be getting paid for a good rating. If this would have been the first in the series of Alien, I would have never watched #2. Some parts were enteraining, mostly ho-hum!

Was a well made movie with poor story line. Lots of gaps and unanswered questions. Was a good time pass though.

Extraterrestrial humanoids, breathtaking pacing, tough-talking crews and their mercenary motives.. It's full of reminiscences of the great movie, Alien (1979).

Go with no expectation and enjoy this film . Expect Alien and be disappointed.

There is lots of philosophising around the web about "the true" meaning of Prometheus' message, yet quite probably it has no meaning at all. Boring characters and it is hardly a horror, the scenes are merely disgusting and nonsensical.

Leaving nothing to chance on the possible enjoyment scale, I saw Prometheus in IMAX 3D. Unfortunately it was the only part of this movie going experience that was satisfactory. Confusing story & undeveloped characters made this film a mess.

D minus on this terrible picture. Bad science, stupid story and script, characters that are not believable, relentlessly bad set ups for another unbelievable scene, mediocre special effects. So bad that at times I found myself laughing at it.

"Character development" must be the new black. Like most sci-fi, this is not a character-driven movie. Ideas and speculation regarding human origin and destiny are the motive forces, which may account for your disappointment.

I thought it was OK, it kept me entertained. The movie just needed a little bit: more action, more suspense, better acting, and to make a little more sense. It was a bit of a throwback to 60's and 70's movies..

This movie was little more than a a re-hash of the original Alien, but not nearly as good. There was no suspense, no decent plot, and there were no surprises. Don't waste your time.

Great special effects, and the premise of the story was interesting. But most everything else was just ridiculous. The explorers were the most stupid and careless idiots I ever saw. And haven't we seen enough "Alien" type creatures by now!
