“127 Hours” is gut wrenching, triumphant and most of all an inspirational story about one man, whose determination for a second shot at life was ultimately fulfilled. ****/****

Whew. Boyle's style is a little too frantic and busy for me, but james Franco anchors this movie with a riveting performance. Excruciating and compelling.

Great film. It's similar in many ways to Into The Wild. It's about someone who pursues solitude and individualism at the expense of personal relationships.James Franco carries the film by himself.Gutsy thing for an actor and it pays off.

Not easy to watch. Hard to imagine if I could have done what the star did.
